The 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe is a sporty take on the luxury SUV, with a sloping roofline, muscular proportions and the presence of a large Mercedes. It rides on the same platform as the GLE SUV, so it keeps a spacious cabin, a high seating position and comfortable room for five.

A 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 delivers smooth, strong power through the 9G-Tronic automatic gearbox to all four wheels through 4MATIC all-wheel drive, which gives confident grip in wet weather and on rough roads. The suspension is tuned for comfort, with air suspension available on higher versions, and the cabin is quiet and refined at highway speeds.

Inside, the interior has the high-quality materials and technology Mercedes is known for, including leather seating, a large central display with the COMAND infotainment system, and features such as a panoramic sunroof, LED lighting, a power tailgate and parking aids on well-equipped cars. The boot holds about 650 litres and expands to about 1,720 litres with the rear seats folded.
