This website, marvicstechltd.com, and the Marvics app are operated by Marvics Technologies ("we", "us", "our"), 10 Ozulemchukwu Street, Woji, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. We run an online store for technology products and provide engineering, design and digital services.
We are responsible for the personal information you share with us. You can contact us about your privacy at any time at [email protected].

Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address and password when you register
- Order details: billing and delivery addresses, phone number and the products you buy
- Messages and requests: what you send through our contact, return request and project forms, email or WhatsApp, including any files or photos you upload
- Newsletter: your email address, if you choose to subscribe
Information collected automatically
- Your IP address, browser and device type
- Your approximate location, which we use to show prices in your currency and the right delivery options
- Pages you visit and how you use the site, through cookies and analytics
We never see or store your full card details. Card payments are handled directly by our payment providers.

We process your information in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. Where the GDPR (EU and UK) or other laws apply to you, we rely on the same grounds:

- Legitimate interests: to secure our website, prevent fraud and improve our store
- Consent: for marketing emails and non-essential cookies, which you can withdraw at any time
06International transfers
Some of our providers (for example payment, hosting and analytics services) process information outside Nigeria. Where this happens, we use reputable providers and take reasonable steps to make sure your information stays protected, as the Nigeria Data Protection Act requires.
07The Marvics app
The Marvics app for Android, and the Marvics icon you can add to an iPhone Home Screen, open this same website. They collect the same information described in this policy and nothing extra. The app doesn't access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone or precise location.
08Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them to keep your cart and login working, remember your preferences and understand how visitors use the site.
Essential cookies are always on because the store can't work without them. You can block or delete other cookies at any time in your browser settings.
09How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it:
- Order records: for as long as tax and accounting laws require (usually 6 years)
- Account details: until you delete your account
- Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe
- Messages: for as long as needed to deal with your request
10Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that's wrong or out of date
- Ask us to delete your information
- Object to or limit how we use it
- Receive a copy of your information in a portable format
- Withdraw your consent at any time
- Complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (or your local data protection authority)

11Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time, from the website or the app: go to My Account → Delete account, or visit marvicstechltd.com/delete-account (this also works if you can't sign in).
This permanently deletes your login, name, phone number, saved addresses, saved cards and account settings. Records of past orders are kept only as long as tax and accounting laws require, and are no longer linked to an account.
12Marketing emails
We only send marketing emails if you've agreed to receive them. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. Order and account emails will still be sent, as they're needed for your purchases.
13Security
We use secure (HTTPS) connections and trusted providers to protect your information. No website can be 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your data safe.
14Children
Our store is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
15Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date at the top.

More about how we use your data
This section adds to the policy above and explains newer parts of our website and app. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
Accounts and signing in
- Your name, email, phone number and country, and, if you use "Continue with Google", the name and email Google shares with us.
- Login codes: we email you a code or you use an authenticator app. Codes are only used to protect your account.
Orders, rentals, vehicles and projects
- Delivery details are shared with our delivery partners (for example Fez Delivery and Terminal Africa) only to deliver your order.
- Payments are processed by Paystack, Flutterwave or Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Rental bookings need a government ID. It is stored in a locked folder that only our staff can open, and it is deleted automatically 60 days after the rental is over.
- Project files you upload are kept in a locked folder and shared only with the team working on your project.
AI shopping assistant
Questions you type or speak to our assistant, and photos you send it, are processed by our AI provider to answer you. Please don't share passwords, card numbers or other sensitive details there. The assistant can make mistakes: prices and policies on our pages are what count.
Notifications and emails
- Push notifications are sent only if you allow them in your browser or app. You can turn them off anytime in your settings.
- Marketing emails are sent only if you ticked the box. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
Cookies and ads
- Essential cookies keep you logged in and remember your cart.
- Measurement cookies (Meta, Google and TikTok pixels) are used only if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. They help us see which ads work.
- Our fonts are served from our own website, so loading a page doesn't contact Google Fonts.
Your rights
- See the data we hold about you: log in, then use "Download my data" on this page or in your account.
- Correct your details in My Account → Account details.
- Delete your account: Delete your account.
- Stop marketing at any time with the unsubscribe link.
- You can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) if you're unhappy with how we handle your data.
How long we keep data
- Orders and invoices: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Rental IDs: 60 days after the rental is over.
- Accounts: until you delete your account.
